Restaurant Marketing: Too Many Restaurants “Don’t Get” Social Media

Restaurant Marketing: After giving two workshops on restaurant marketing social media to restaurants at Pizza Expo, I discovered that the majority of restaurants don’t really understand the benefits of social media and are using social media incorrectly. It’s easy to have a Facebook page, but then what? Give them discounts? Facebook fans are not a true measure of guest loyalty, in fact, they’re most likely on your page to get discounts.  The real benefit to social media is in the networking outside of platforms like Facebook.
